Denis "Bill" Bouthiette

Bill Bouthiette served with HQ-2-24 through three battles until he suffered wounds from a mortar round.

Per Bill he came to be a Marine due to happenstance. He and some friends stood in a recruiting line that wound around a Manchester city block. On the second day, a recruiter made a suggestion. 'An Army guy came over and said, "you guys, if you want to be Marines, that line is much, much shorter' and that's the line I went on" said Bouthiette

After the war Bill started a real estate appraisal business www.bouthiette.com

Bill is an artist of oil/acrylic, land and seascapes, animal action and military. He is a member of the Manchester Artists Association and Marine Corp Arts Foundation. He is very active in Marine Corps associations in the New England area.
